CPST Training – Halifax, NS

Note: This course is open exclusively to those who work in support of the safe transportation of children with special healthcare needs in hospitals, health centres, and as medical equipment vendors.
Help parents and caregivers choose and use car seats and booster seats safely.
The Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) training course takes place over 3 days and includes classroom instruction, hands-on practice, a multiple-choice exam and a practical exam in the form of a public car seat check clinic.
The cost for this course is $80 and includes certification with the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada for 3 years, a printed copy of the manual and all supplies.
Previous participants have included staff from the dept. of community services, IWK Health Centre, Other hospitals and health centres, Halifax Regional Police, RCMP, First Nations health, CHIP, family resource centre staff and community volunteers.
